My experience with the Mehnati Program in 2025 was a great start to my professional journey. After my university journey came to an end earning a Finance degree at Birzeit University, I joined the renowned Mehnati program that bank of Jordan offers for university seniors and fresh graduates preparing them for the work field . My internship was in the Finance Control Department, where I was able to gain hands-on experience and better understand the day-to-day work environment. The internship helped me build confidence, improve my professional skills, and learn from people with valuable experience in the field. It also gave me a better idea of the career opportunities available in banking and finance. Today, I work as part of the Treasury Sales Team at Bank of Jordan ; a role that aligns perfectly with my field of interest . I am grateful for the opportunity to work in such a dynamic and rewarding environment . The experience I gained through Mehnati helped me take my first steps into the industry and prepared me for the role I have today.

Micheal Awwad - Interior Architecture/ Arab American University

My name is Micheal Awwad, and I am from Beit Sahour. I hold a bachelor’s degree in interior architecture from the Arab American University. Immediately after graduation, mihnati program under the supervision of Engineer Maisa Sawalha at the Engineering and Real Estate Department. This training provided me with valuable exposure to a professional work environment and allowed me to gain practical experience beyond what I learned at university. During my training, I developed knowledge in areas such as tendering procedures, workplace regulations, and project management. I also participated in designing projects for the new branches of Jordan Bank, which helped me strengthen my technical and design skills. As my final training project, I redesigned the Administration Department of Jordan Bank to align with the bank’s visual identity and logo. The project focused on creating a modern and functional workspace that reflects the bank’s corporate image while enhancing employee productivity and comfort.

ZEINAH SHEIKH – Financial Engineering / Arab American University

My training period at Bank of Jordan in the Human Resources Department was valuable and enriching. Through this experience, I learned that the HR Department plays a vital role within the organization, as it is responsible for managing employee affairs and maintaining effective communication between employees and top management. It also contributes to ensuring that operations across the bank and its branches run smoothly and efficiently. In addition, I had the opportunity to learn about other departments within the bank, including Corporate Banking, IT, Marketing, and Architecture, which gave me a broader understanding of how different functions work together to achieve the bank’s goals. I also met supportive and friendly professionals who were always willing to help, share their experiences, and provide guidance. Furthermore, I built valuable connections and relationships with fellow trainees. The training experience helped me develop my communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, while also increasing my confidence in a professional setting. Moreover, it enabled me to connect the concepts I learned theoretically at university with their practical application in the workplace, making my academic knowledge more meaningful and relevant.

I gained practical skills in IT infrastructure, networking, and technical support while learning from a highly professional team. My training experience in the “My Profession” program at the Financial Department was useful and valuable. I learned many practical skills and became more familiar with the work environment and financial and administrative procedures. The training also helped me improve my communication and teamwork skills. It connected the theoretical knowledge I studied with real work experience. In addition, it improved my analytical skills, accuracy, and sense of responsibility. This training was an important step in developing my professional experience in the financial field.
