Ramallah – The Palestinian Payment Services Company discussed ways to strengthen cooperation with Bank of Jordan and develop electronic payment solutions and services during a visit by a delegation from the company, headed by Mr. Nader Al-Salhi and attended by a representative of the Palestine Monetary Authority, to Bank of Jordan’s headquarters.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Saif Issa, CEO of Bank of Jordan - Palestine Branches, along with a number of representatives from the executive management and specialized teams from both sides.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the latest developments in Palestine’s electronic payments sector and discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation between the company and the bank. The discussions focused on supporting the transition toward digital payments, expanding the use of electronic payment methods, and providing more efficient and convenient solutions for individuals and institutions.

The meeting also addressed the role of the E-SADAD platform, the iBURAQ system, and other platforms in supporting the electronic payments ecosystem, as well as opportunities to further leverage the services provided by the platform across various sectors. The two sides also explored areas of cooperation related to the national payments infrastructure and the digital solutions provided by the company.

Mr. Nader Al-Salhi, General Manager of the Palestinian Payment Services Company, emphasized the importance of partnerships with the banking sector in developing the digital payments ecosystem. He noted that strengthening cooperation with banks is a key factor in expanding the use of electronic payment methods, supporting digital transformation efforts, and advancing financial inclusion in Palestine.

For his part, Mr. Saif Issa, CEO of Bank of Jordan - Palestine Branches, stressed the importance of cooperation with the Palestinian Payment Services Company and the need to continue joint efforts to develop electronic payment solutions and services that meet customers’ needs and keep pace with the rapid developments in the fintech and payments sectors.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue coordination and cooperation and to explore new opportunities to develop digital services and solutions, supporting the growth of Palestine’s electronic payments ecosystem and enhancing the user experience.
