Bank of Jordan Celebrates the Graduation of a New Cohort from “Mihnati” Program for Palestinian University Students

Date: 17/09/2026

Ramallah – Bank of Jordan celebrated the graduation of a new cohort of participants in its strategic “Mihnati” program, which aims to prepare Palestinian university students and enhance their readiness to enter the labor market by equipping them with practical skills and applied knowledge that complement their academic education and contribute to developing their professional and career capabilities.

The program provided participants with hands-on training across several of the Bank’s departments and divisions under the direct supervision of its specialized staff. This enabled them to gain first-hand insight into institutional work practices and the nature of modern banking, while acquiring practical experience as well as technical and interpersonal skills that strengthen their ability to navigate the requirements of the workplace.

Saif Issa, Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Jordan’s branches in Palestine, emphasized that the “Mihnati” program represents one of the Bank’s strategic initiatives in the field of youth empowerment. He noted that the program provides students and recent graduates with professional training experience in a real banking environment, contributing to bridging the gap between academic education and labor market requirements.

Issa added that, alongside banking and practical skills, the program focuses on developing participants’ abilities in innovation, creativity, and teamwork, while equipping them with experience that helps them address professional challenges. This aligns with the Bank’s vision of preparing qualified young professionals capable of contributing to the future of the financial and banking sectors.

He explained that program graduates gained practical experience and certificates of participation that enhance their prospects of entering the labor market, in addition to being given priority to apply for positions announced by the Bank when vacancies become available. He affirmed that the program is implemented as part of Bank of Jordan’s commitment to its social responsibility and its belief in the importance of investing in youth and employment-oriented training as a key pillar of sustainable development.

The conclusion of the “Mihnati” program comes as part of Bank of Jordan’s ongoing efforts to invest in human capital and transfer its more than six decades of banking expertise to the next generation by providing practical training opportunities that help students develop their skills, deepen their understanding of the banking sector, broaden their professional horizons, and improve their prospects of integrating into the labor market.

Bank of Jordan launched the “Mihnati” program in 2018 as part of its strategy to invest in young talent. The program follows an integrated approach that includes selecting and training participants and evaluating their performance based on clear criteria, while monitoring their development across technical, practical, and interpersonal areas. This contributes to preparing a generation of professionals capable of keeping pace with the requirements of the banking sector and the labor market.

Bank of Jordan was among the first banking institutions to commence operations in Palestine after 1994. Through its development programs and community initiatives, the Bank continues to support youth and invest in national talent, contributing to economic development and building the capabilities of the next generation.
