Gaza: As usual during the Holy month of Ramadan, Bank of Jordan provided its support to “Ramadan brings us together in affection and generosity” campaign organized by ATA’A Palestine Charitable Society” for the 19th consecutive year.
This year, Bank of Jordan earmarked its support to enhance the steadfastness of needy families and the support of orphans in Gaza by providing their needs of basic foodstuffs during the holy month in the light of the difficult living conditions facing hundreds of families in Gaza strip that deteriorated with the spread of “COVID-19” pandemic.
The managers of Bank of Jordan branches in Gaza participated in the campaign together with the staff and volunteers of ATA’A Palestine Charitable Society who distributed food parcels to the needy families and orphans.
The Regional Manager of Bank of Jordan branches in Palestine, Hatem Fuqaha’a stated that the bank, through its various social responsibility projects accords special importance to support needy families and orphans especially during the holy month of Ramadan, while pointing out the strong partnership between Bank of Jordan and ATA’A Palestine’s Society which includes implementing several campaigns and charitable projects throughout the previous years. He appreciated the efforts of the society in this respect.
He further clarified that that the bank earmarked its support during the holy month this year to Gaza strip in view of the difficult circumstances of hundreds of families and the urgent need to support them in the light of the spread of COVID-19 pandemic that reflected negatively on the health, economic and social situation in the Gaza strip.
In turn, the Director General of ATA’A Palestine Charitable Society Raja’a Abu-Ghazaleh Shaath thanked Bank of Jordan for this important humanitarian gesture during the holy month of Ramadan that added a smile and joy to the persons in need and their families, especially in the light of the harsh economic conditions facing our Palestinian people, while appreciating the role of the Bank in supporting the society to implement several relief and development projects during the preceding years.
