Bank of Jordan Graduates a New Cohort of Students from the “Mihnati”

Date: 24/09/2025

Ramallah – As part of its strategy to support the education and vocational training sector and provide a better future for youth in Palestine, Bank of Jordan graduated a new group of Palestinian university students participating in the “Mihnati” program, during a ceremony held at the Qattan Foundation Hall in Ramallah.

Over the course of seven weeks, the students underwent practical training across the bank’s various departments and fields of work, under the direct supervision of the bank’s specialized staff. This allowed them to gain first-hand exposure to the banking work environment and take their first steps in their professional journey.

During the closing ceremony, nine students presented creative and developmental ideas, reflecting the deep understanding and experience they had acquired during the training period.

Mr. Saif Issa, CEO of Bank of Jordan branches in Palestine, affirmed that the “Mihnati” program is a pioneering developmental initiative launched by the bank in 2018. It aims to enhance the practical skills of students and recent graduates through working on real-life projects across multiple fields in a supportive, professional environment.

He explained that the program provides participants with the opportunity to apply for vacant positions, gain hands-on experience and a better understanding of the work environment, and receive a participation certificate that strengthens their chances of entering the job market, while also enhancing their academic and technical skills. The program targets Palestinian university students still in school, as well as fresh graduates.

He stressed that “Mihnati” program is part of Bank of Jordan’s strategy to address the essential needs of society through organized plans and a comprehensive approach, highlighting that education and vocational training are fundamental elements of sustainable development—particularly under the current circumstances in Palestine.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Mr. Saif Issa presented certificates to the graduates and wished them success in their academic and professional lives, affirming that they represent the bright future of Palestinian society in development, prosperity, and creativity.

It is worth noting that Bank of Jordan is one of the first financial institutions to establish a presence in Palestine after 1994. The bank offers distinguished and advanced banking services, caters to a wide range of Palestinian sectors, and contributes to supporting and developing the local economy.
