Date: 16/04/2025

In the framework of its continuous commitment to support children without family care in Palestine, Bank of Jordan announced the signature of a new support agreement with Children’s villages SOS in Palestine for the expansion of its support to include the renewal of a home sponsorship for next year, and provide direct support for hosting children evicted from Rafah village as a result of the war.

The agreement was signed at the head office of Bank of Jordan in Ramallah in the presence of the Regional Manager of Bank of Palestine Saif Khader Issa and the National Director of the Children’s villages SOS in Palestine Ghada Hirzallah and a number of administrative staff from both sides.

Mr. Issa stressed that this agreement falls within the strategy of Bank of Jordan to achieve a clear and sustainable societal impact, particularly children in need in Palestine and within the third part of the relief umbrella program for the Gaza strip. He added that the expansion of this support includes the hosting and care of 68 children from among those without family care aged between two and fourteen years evicted from the children’s village in Rafah and transported to Bethlehem to protect them and ensure their safety. This reflects the commitment of the bank towards its social responsibility in the critical time. In turn, Bank of Jordan appreciated the tireless efforts of those in charge of the children’s villages SOS in Palestine for their constant care to provide decent family care to children missing family care.

In turn, Mrs. Hirzallah hailed the big role of Bank of Jordan in caring for an entire home in the village and pointed out that this support ensures a stable life for the children and provides them with education and psychological and health care. She noted the importance of the bank’s support for hosting children from Rafah village project, as it aims to provide immediate protection and care for children without family care.

This support comes as part of the bank’s keenness to implement the social responsibility programs that achieve sustainable development and the achievement of a positive impact in Palestinian society while it stresses its commitment to continue its support to the children villages SOS in the coming years.
