Jerusalem, Bank of Jordan has finalized the month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr campaign it initiated in cooperation with the Directorate of Social Development in Jerusalem governorate. Jerusalem development, with the kind support of Bank of Jordan, provided food parcels and clothing to poor and marginalized families in several districts in the governorate that are subordinate to the directorate to relieve poor families in the holy month. Approximately 200 children and their parents received vouchers to buy Eid clothing.
The parcels and vouchers had been distributed in the presence of the manager of Bank of Jordan in Bethany Mr. Khaled Barahmeh and Mr. Khaled Abu Mokaddam, the Head of the Directorate of Social Development – Jerusalem, and several staff members of the directorate.
The Regional Manager of Bank of Jordan – Palestine Province – Mr. Saif Issa stated that such support is within the framework of the bank’s social responsibility and its active role in fighting poverty and participate in mitigating the burden on marginalized and poor families in Jerusalem governorate and the other governorates in the homeland. He pointed out that Bank of Jordan continually provides social support during the holy month of Ramadan and the festivities. Moreover, it devotes special interests to spread happiness among children in need and orphans who lack support during Eid.
In turn, Mr. Abu Mokaddam pointed out that this campaign falls within efforts exerted by the government and private sectors to help our people, enhance their resilience, and improve their living conditions, taking into consideration the economic difficulties facing the Palestinian family. He praised the active role of Bank of Jordan as far as social and national responsibilities is concerned and thanked the bank’s management and its branches in Jerusalem governorate for their close cooperation and continuous support.
